Any of you guys into marital arts or train atm? I wrestled and did bjj for a while and looking to get into boxing sometime this year. I also want to compete at least once. Any of you guys train?
I couldn't resist commenting because I completely agree with you about the benefits of training in combat sports. I especially appreciate how you mention the level of confidence that comes with being able to defend yourself. It's such an empowering feeling! And of course, the workouts are amazing too. It's a great way to stay in shape and challenge yourself both physically and mentally. I also noticed that you mentioned trying different martial arts, but finding boxing to be the most straightforward. I live in an apartment, so I recently got the best inflatable punching bag that I could find. It's a way to practice my technique and get a workout in without disturbing my neighbors.

I wrestled and boxed for 3 years, I also learned a little bjj from YouTube and used to practice with my friend who actually trains.
